Mark A. DiPippa joined the MMI Administration in the summer of 2010 as the Director of Development.

In his position, DiPippa will be responsible for directing a comprehensive development and alumni relations program at MMI to include annual fundraising, capital campaigns, special projects, planned giving, and alumni events and publications.

DiPippa's move to MMI comes after serving six years in the top position at Wyoming Valley Montessori School.

"My call back into education began several years ago in 2004, when I was named Wyoming Valley Montessori School's third Head of School.  My appointment as the Director of Development at MMI is a continuation of my service to families who choose the independent school as a positive alternative to other educational offerings,” DiPippa said.

DiPippa has almost 20 years of experience in non-profit leadership and fundraising and has been part of the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA's $5.3 million capital renovation project.  He is also the co-founder of the Wilkes-Barre Duathalon that continues to raise money for the JCC and YMCA in Wilkes-Barre.  DiPippa successfully led the Wyoming Valley Montessori School through a Middle States and American Montessori Society reaccreditation and chaired the school's vision/purpose committee to develop a new vision for education in the future.

"We are very excited to welcome Mark and his family to MMI.  He brings a passion for education that will allow him to better connect our alumni and friends to MMI.  I know he will be a great addition to our school,” stated MMI President Thomas G. Hood on DiPippa's appointment.

DiPippa has a Master's degree in Educational Administration from the University of Scranton and a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Lock Haven University.  He has attended the North American SWAT Training Association (NASTA) for school safety, Independent School Management's Summer Institute, and multiple leadership and volunteer seminars throughout his career.

Mr. DiPippa resides in Wilkes-Barre with his wife Lisa, who is employed as the Supervisor for Anatomical Pathology for Geisinger of Wyoming Valley, his daughter Cassie, and his son Josh.
