Dr. Jaclyn M. Fowler, affectionately known by the students as Dr. Jackie, joined the MMI administration in the summer of 2008 as the school’s vice president.
"Growing up in the area, I have always known of MMI’s tradition of first class academics coupled with high expectations for students in a caring, supportive environment. But, after being at MMI as the Vice President, I have gained first-hand knowledge of MMI’s tradition at work,” states Dr. Fowler. "I have had the opportunity to watch our students, including my own two children, grow and achieve here at MMI, maturing into confident young adults. I’m really excited to be part of such a wonderful academic community that recognizes the value of teaching the lessons of hard work with compassionate mentoring.”
Prior to her arrival at MMI, Dr. Fowler most recently served as state director for the Pennsylvania Governor’s Schools of Excellence, where her responsibilities included developing and implementing programming as well as recruiting program directors for the schools. She promoted the schools to gifted high school students across the state and served as a liaison between the Pennsylvania Department of Education and several state offices, including the Legislature, Governor and the Department of Health.
