Ready to apply to MMI and start on the path to success?
There are three main components to MMI's admissions process and they can be completed in any order. The first part is for a prospective student to take the Admissions Entrance Exam, which will be offfered on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 9:00 A.M. This comprehensive Entrance Examination assesses quantitative and verbal ability, reading comprehension and mathematics.
The second part of the process is the admissions interview and tour. The interview is where we will discuss the results of the Entrance Exam, MMI’s curriculum and take a tour with your family. There will also be a few interview questions that will be asked of the prospective student.
The third part of the process is to submit the application for admission. The application can be submitted prior to a student taking the Entrance Exam.
Once the student has been tested, interviewed and the application is complete, their file will be presented to the Admissions Committee for a decision. We begin to admit students in February and continue until our various classes are filled. Please be aware that we often have wait pools in many of our grades. If you are looking at MMI, it is important to know that all classes are filled on a first come, first served basis.
Be sure to print all the pages and choose "shrink to page" in your printer options in order to print the entire page.
MMI also encourages you to schedule a Shadow Day so your child can come be a student here for a day. He/she will spend the day at MMI teamed up with a current MMI Ambassador student - going to class, eating lunch, observing activities and events. This can take place on any school day that would be convenient for you. This is a major draw for the students who really get a feel for the school by becoming a part of it for a day!! There is no evaluation involved in the Shadow Day; it is purely designed for your child to learn more about MMI.
MMI Preparatory School admits students of any race, color, and national/ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, or national/ethnic origin in administration of the educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
Because of all the questions you may have, and the many answers we may need to give, call us at 570-636-1108 and ask for Kim McNulty, Director of Admissions and Financial Aid. She will answer your questions, get the application out to you, and register your child for the entrance examination.
Before you know it, you'll be a part of the MMI family! We look forward to welcoming you!
