The 2010 campaign marked the final season with Head Coach Bruce Young and the team made the most of it, making history by winning the District II A Championship with wins over Mountain View (3-0) and Lackawanna Trail (3-2) in the District II Play-Offs.  This was the first District Championship ever by an MMI girls team, and the first for the school since the 1973 Boys Basketball team won the State Championship.  Several school records were set by this year's team.  Senior Brone Lobichusky finished first in the Wyoming Valley Conference (WVC) with 158 Blocks and second with 420 Kills.  She now holds the school record for Kills (872) and Blocks (262).  Lobichusky was also selected to the All-Conference First Team.  Senior Diana Anthony finished second in the WVC with 350 digs, and she now holds the school record for Aces (123) and Digs (936).  Anthony was selected to the All-Conference Second Team.  Senior Lainie Titus finished her career by establishing a new school record with 699 Assists.  Alyson Klush, also a senior, finished third in the WVC with 173 Service Points.

Assistant Coach, Dr. Gregg Bluth, will return to the team, along with 12 underclassmen.
