John Scibilia has been a member of the MMI faculty since 1977, serving as the school’s Director of Guidance. In his position, he acts as the coordinator of standardized testing, administrator of the Entrance Exams for Admissions, the AP coordinator, the coordinator of testing for Students with Disabilities, Group Guidance class instructor, College Counselor, and coordinator of Governor School applications and summer enrichment programs. Mr. Scibilia has a Bachelor’s Degree in History from King's College, a middle and secondary school teaching certificate, a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling from Catholic University of America and has completed post-graduate studies at George Washington University, Marywood University, and Gratz College. “Working with the students at MMI allows me to influence the human spirit,” Mr. Scibilia states. “It allows us to believe, that when an MMI student decides to succeed, they have the educational instruction and tools to build their success. The student that embraces the MMI spirit cannot avoid success. It is that excitement emanating from the student body that encourages the desire to work among and with these students and their families."
