“I believe that Chemistry truly is the central science. In order to fully understand and appreciate other sciences such as biology, physics, astronomy, and meteorology, a person must have a general knowledge of the basic and integral concepts of chemistry. Not only do we see reflections of chemistry in other sciences, but we also see reflections of it in our everyday lives – from the food we eat to the houses we live in.

Providing students with a comprehensive background in chemistry will aid them as they enter college and the real world, whether or not they pursue a career in the sciences. I believe that studying science goes well beyond an examination of chemical reactions and atoms. It is an enlightening experience that opens our minds to possibilities and an analytical organization of concepts. This type of experience will stay with students well beyond their years of schooling and travel with them into their lives, enriching them wherever they may go.

I currently reside in Dupont with my husband, RJ. Other than chemistry, my interests include cooking, gardening, golfing, and reading.”
