The spirit of competition encourages learning outside the classroom, and stimulates a student's desire to excel. Many of our clubs saw tremendous success during the 2006-07 academic year. At the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science Regional Meeting and Competition, MMI had a perfect score, a first-place finish and a second-place finish. The Envirothon Team also took home first place in Luzerne County and then went on to compete in the state competition. The FBLA placed third at the regional competition while MMI's Mock Trial Team placed second in both Monroe County and Luzerne County. At the Robotics regional competition, MMI placed second.
