Phonathon 2008 Raises More Than $70,000 |

MMI Preparatory School recently wrapped up a successful 2008 Alumni and Parents Phonathon. This year's record number of volunteers helped surpass the goal of contacting 700 alumni, parents, and friends on the way to raising more than $70,000. |

Homecoming Weekend Reunions & Events |

Plans are currently being finalized for MMI's Homecoming Weekend scheduled for August 1 and 2. All alumni are invited to attend the weekend events. The Annual MMI Athletic Association Golf Tournament will kick off Homecoming activities on Friday, August 1, at Mountain Laurel Golf Course. beginning at Noon. All golfers are invited to join us in support of athletics at MMI. On Saturday, the annual Homecoming Picnic will be held beginning at 11:30 a.m. with a special emphasis for those MMI classes ending in a "3" or an "8" who will be celebrating milestone reunions. |

MMI President Announces Retirement |

MMI Preparatory School President Dr. William A. Shergalis '58 has announced that he will retire as president effective August 2, 2008, a position he has held since May of 2001. Shergalis notified the school’s board of directors of his decision and he met with faculty and staff to inform them of his pending retirement. “We have been very fortunate to have had Dr. Shergalis leading MMI for the past seven years. Many positive things have happened at MMI during his tenure and we are certainly going to miss him,” said Thomas Wisniewski, board president. |
