MMI President Dr. William A. Shergalis '58 announced seven nominees for induction to the MMI Wall of Fame in 2008.
Athletic Achievement Mr. Albert Goedecke '45 - served as MMI Boys' Basketball Coach from 1952 to 1964 consistently coaching playoff teams in the Anthracite League including winning the 1956 Anthracite League Championship. Professional Development Ms. Jeanette DiBella '75 - Principal of Providence-St. Mel School, a private college prep school in Chicago that has received national and regional honors as a model for urban schools. Mr. Clinton Feissner, Esq. '28 - served as Chief of Research and Development of the Civil Communications Section, established after World War II to demilitarize and modernize Japan's communications systems. Dr. Thomas Gillespie '57 - served as a faculty member in the Department of Orthopaedics, University of Maryland School of Medicine, from 1983 until his death in 2005. Mr. Joshua Madden '47 - served as materials engineer and executive engineer at General Motors and Volkswagon and received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007 from the Society of Plastics Engineers International. Dr. Philip McHale '58 - Associate Professor of Physiology and Director of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, College of Medicine. Service to MMI Mr. Nicholas Nemesh - served as an English teacher at MMI from the 1950's until his retirement in 1991. He also taught Latin and Typing.
