MMI cheerleaders support their fellow classmates.

As a college preparatory school, MMI exists mainly for the purpose of educating our students in preparation for higher education.

While academics is the stated purpose of the school, we are also very much interested in developing the true student-athlete. These dual interests are rooted in our belief that excellence in academics and excellence in athletics are not mutually exclusive, but rather two sides of the same coin.

Our intent is to develop student-athletes who excel in the classroom and also on the playing field/court. In pursuing these complementary goals, we seek to instill in our student-athletes the values of sportsmanship, citizenship, leadership, and physical health and well-being.

MMI competes in the Wyoming Valley Conference in basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, golf, cross country, soccer, and girls’ volleyball.

Mid-school students can participate in boys and girls basketball and cheerleading.  The Preppers will begin a girls' softball program at the mid-school level in the spring of 2009.

A fully equipped weight and exercise room helps students to train throughout the year.
