Friendships... They’re an MMI tradition. With a small campus and a low 9:1 student to teacher radio, MMI is the ideal setting for building lasting friendships. And making new friends is easier than prospective students may think. Just ask our students.
“I was a very shy person when I started school. I was kind of afraid of not knowing anyone and not having any friends. But within a day or two, I met a lot of people and made many friends that I’m sure I’ll keep for a long, long time,” said MMI alum Ian Kollar.Of course, moving to any new school always causes some anxiety when it comes to making new friends. “I was worried about leaving my friends at my old school, but it didn’t matter as much as I thought it would. Everyone here was really nice. It’s really easy to make friends at MMI,” added Sarah Kashubski, another recent graduate. “Even the teachers are friendly and put you at ease when you arrive at MMI,” said MMI student Joseph Caputo. “I had no problems making friends from day one.” It seems as though everyone knows everyone else at MMI. Also, MMI’s curriculum and subject pacing encourages the development of strong interpersonal bonds. Students realize they are all in it together, so they help each other reach their goals. They spend free time studying together and are taught to work on projects in teams. “I really like the friends I made at MMI. We talk on the phone all the time and get together at each others houses several times a year for parties,” said MMI student Zachary Haupt. |
