Heading into her sixth season as the head coach of the Lady Preppers' varsity basketball team, head coach Patty Medvecky expects continued growth and development in 2007-08.  The girls play in the Wyoming Valley Conference and host and Annual Tip-off Tournament, which they have won the past three years.  Juniors Morgan Palermo and Gabbie Joseph will headline this year’s team.  The inaugural season for girls’ basketball was in 1995-96.  The jayvee program is coached by Joanne Reed.  Jodi Washinsky (1995-99) surpassed the 1000-point plateau during her tenure with the Lady Preppers, the first and only one to have done so since the program's inception.
