Alyssa has built an exceptional record of achievement since graduating from MMI. Combining her academic and leadership skills, she’s had a resounding impact in the accounting field during such an early phase of her career.
In 2023, Alyssa graduated magna cum laude from The Catholic University of America. During undergrad, she was deeply engaged in campus life, serving as President of the Accounting Society and coaching over 600 students at her internship in the Busch School of Business Career Development Office. Following graduation, Alyssa completed her Master of Accountancy at the University of Scranton within just one year, while maintaining a 3.9 GPA. This fulfilled the educational requirements for achieving her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensure, demonstrating her disciplined commitment.
Alyssa began her career in 2024 at Deloitte & Touche LLP, the largest and most competitive public accounting firm in the world, with revenue of over $70.5 billion. Her strong execution, sound judgment, and consistent focus on quality earned her two promotions in under two years. One defining example of her early-career success is her work on the first year audit of a large accelerated filer, a public issuer with $700+ million public float and a 60-day Form 10-K filing deadline. This once-in-a-career opportunity required Alyssa to document 25 controls from scratch, test 3 workstreams in 7 countries, and coordinate complex areas. Within this high-stakes environment where teams must build audit processes and documentation from the ground up, while maintaining strict SEC reporting timelines, Alyssa ensured milestones were delivered 100% on-time and reduced the need for review comments by 99.9% during the filing week.
While she was working full time on this first-year, large accelerated filer engagement, Alyssa earned her CPA license. Achieving licensure while performing at a high level during one of the most demanding phases of an audit reflects exceptional drive, resilience, and professionalism. Doing all of this at only age 25 speaks volumes to her maturity, focus, and long-term commitment to accounting.
Alyssa’s family ties to MMI span more than a century, including Dr. Herman Feissner ’1924 (great-grandfather), Atty. Clinton Albert Feissner ’1928 (great-great-uncle), Francis Feissner ’59 (great-uncle), and Atty. Thomas Feissner ’81 (uncle). She credits MMI with laying the foundation for her success by strengthening her academic readiness while sharpening the leadership, communication, discipline, and time-management skills needed to pursue ambitious goals. Now residing in Manayunk, Alyssa continues to represent the very best of MMI through her integrity and strong work ethic.
