Throughout her life, everything Victoria has accomplished has been rooted in passion. From her first days at MMI, she has shown a welcoming, caring, and supportive spirit. She is a role model not only to her sisters Caitlyn ’18, Dominique ’21, Jessica, and Erica ’23, but also to her peers. Her passion for others and the world around her led to her developing strong relationships that last to this day, building up her family, friends, and colleagues, and pursuing work that speaks to her soul.
From an early age, Victoria loved the sea. Her family home was proudly decorated with her drawings and paintings of marine life. She also wrote poetry and short stories, leading her to pursue a Marketing major with a minor in Creative Writing from the University of Pittsburgh. There, she achieved Dean’s List honors all semesters, was published in America’s Emerging Poets and Forbes & Fifth Magazine, earned a 3.9 GPA, and was a Marketing Manager and writer for The Pitt News, The University of Pittsburgh’s daily student newspaper.
Upon graduation, Victoria received a full scholarship to continue her education at the University of Miami School of Law. Driven by her passion for marine life, she concentrated her studies in Environmental Law and went on to receive the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement Awards in Environmental Law and Legal Communication & Research II. During her time in law school, Victoria participated in the Environmental Justice Clinic and served as the president of the Environmental Law Book Club.
In seeking real-world experience, Victoria completed a federal judicial internship and a NOAA Sea Grant Law & Policy Program internship, where she had the opportunity to spend three months in Louisiana completing transactional work in the alternative oyster farming industry. In 2023, she graduated magna cum laude as one of the top 12 members of her class and received her Juris Doctor.
Victoria began her legal career at Jones Day, where she was responsible for handling complex employment and litigation matters, such as those arising under restrictive covenant and anti-discrimination laws. Here, she upheld a strong pro bono practice and became a member of the firm’s LGBTQ+ Affinity Group.
Presently, Victoria is an Associate Attorney at Bass, Berry & Sims in Nashville, TN. She specializes in labor and employment transactional deals for nationwide buy- and sell-side mergers and acquisitions. She continues to be active in pro bono work and advocacy, including support for asylum seekers.
