Ms. Renee Marciante joined MMI in 2020 the Music Director. Mrs. Marciante comes from the Jim Thorpe Area School District where she had been the choral director for five years. Prior to teaching in Jim Thorpe, Mrs. Marciante was the General Music/Choral Director for the Ridley School District and the middle school music director at Annapolis Middle School.
She is active in several professional organizations, such as PMEA, NAfME, and ACDA. In addition to 12 post-graduate credits in Special Education from Immaculata University, Mrs. Marciante holds a Pennsylvania Level II teaching certificate, performs as a freelance musician in flute and voice, and gives private lessons in a variety of instruments. Mrs. Marciante holds a Masters of Education in Curriculum & Instruction, a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, flute and vocal proficiency from Pennsylvania State University. She remains active in performing ensembles such as Bach and Handel Chorale, and traveling with Essence of Joy Alumni Singers for both performance and educational outreach.
In her free time, Mrs. Marciante enjoys traveling, reading, running with her dog, drawing, sports, horseback riding and spending time with those she loves.
