MMI Preparatory School Welcomes New Officers and Members to Its Board of Directors

Richard A. DiLiberto, Jr. Esq. ’79, the 2025-26 Chair of MMI Preparatory School’s Board of Directors, and Theresa Long, Head of School, are pleased to announce the new officers and members that have been elected and appointed to the School’s Board of Directors. Their terms will start on July 1, 2026. 

The newly appointed Officer positions are as follows: Tyler J. Breznitsky, Esq. ’09 will serve as the Chair of the Board, Dr. Jennifer Moisey will serve as Vice Chair, and C. Jeffrey Mason Jr. will serve as Treasurer. Anne J. Frey remains in her position as Secretary, where she has served since 2022 (Board member since 2014 and Treasurer 2016-18).

The Board has also appointed two new members to four-year terms: Douglas Palmieri and Justin M. Yakubowski ’09.

Departing the Board on June 30 are: Richard A. DiLiberto, Jr. Esq. ’79, Dr. Jodi M. Lenko ’99, DeAnn Miller, and Stanley B. Warner III ’92.

The 2026-27 Chair of MMI’s Board of Directors, Attorney Tyler Breznitsky ’09

Tyler Breznitsky, Esq. ’09 joined the Board in 2023 and has served as Vice Chair since 2024. He has served on the Advancement, Governance, Head Support and Evaluation, and Strategic Planning committees of the Board. Tyler is an attorney for the Social Security Administration, a Freeland native, and a proud alumnus. During his time at MMI, Tyler became MMI’s all-time leading scorer in basketball with 1900 points. In 2021, he was recognized for his athletic achievement by being inducted into both MMI’s Wall of Fame and the Hazleton Area Sport Hall of Fame. Tyler earned his undergraduate degree from Wilkes University, where he was a member of the varsity basketball team, and went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from New England School of Law in Boston. Professionally, he has worked with district attorneys, law firms, members of Congress, county judges, and, most recently, the federal government. As an officer of MMI’s Board of Directors, Tyler is committed to giving back to the institution that helped shape his success, supporting its mission of academic excellence, character development, and opportunity for future generations of students.

MMI’s new Vice Chair of its Board of Directors, Dr. Jennifer Moisey

Dr. Jennifer Moisey has been a member of MMI’s Board of Directors since 2024. During her time on the Board, Dr. Moisey has served as the Chair of the Academic Committee and offered a valuable perspective as an MMI parent to Gianna Moisey-Hoover ’23, Joshua Hoover ’25, Jacob Hoover ’27, and Brayden Hoover ’29. Dr. Moisey is a goal-driven Healthcare Administration professional with over 23 years of successful experience in administration, marketing, and strategic organization. She is the Executive Director of the Laurels Senior Living Community in Hazleton. In addition to her experience as an MMI parent and healthcare professional, Dr. Moisey brings strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of data collection, and the ability to analyze performance metrics to her new role as Vice Chair of the Board.

C. Jeffrey Mason Jr., the newly-appointed Treasurer of MMI’s Board of Directors

Since joining the Board in 2024, C. Jeffrey Mason Jr. has offered his business leadership expertise, having served as President and CEO of Leader Data Services, Inc. for the past four years after a 28-year tenure with the company. A Penn State graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and certifications in Human Resources, Business Law, and emergency medical response, Jeff has a robust background in both business and community service. He has been an active member of the Board of Troop N Camp Cadet for 11 years, including the last four as President. For the last eight years, he has been the Chair of CAN DO’s Property Committee and served on the Executive Committee for the last five. Additionally, he is the Secretary and Treasurer at Beth Israel Temple and is the President of the Cemetery Committee. His commitment to service is further illustrated by his ten-year involvement with the American Red Cross Hazleton Chapter Board. Mr. Mason and his wife, Lynn, are proud parents of Riley and Zoe. Riley is a member of MMI’s Class of 2030.

Douglas Palmieri, new member of the Board of Directors

An experienced leader in educational administration, Douglas Palmieri brings years of higher education executive experience to his service on MMI’s Board. He currently serves as the Vice President of Administration and Chief of Staff at Luzerne County Community College. Previously, he had a distinguished career spanning over twenty years in public school education, where he served as a dedicated teacher, coach, director, and cabinet-level administrator, demonstrating a comprehensive commitment to student success and institutional growth. Beyond his professional achievements, he resides in Drums with his three sons, Ty (22), Luke (19), and Max (16), his stepson Daniel (17), and his wife, Valerie. Valerie is a longtime public-school educator and licensed professional counselor who shares Doug’s deep-seated dedication to supporting students and the broader community.

Justin Yakubowski ’09, new member of the Board of Directors

Justin Yakubowski ’09 has been a member of MMI’s Advancement Committee since August 2024 and now brings his financial expertise to his service on MMI’s Full Board. He is a Financial Advisor at Laurel Oak Wealth Management with over twelve years of experience helping individuals, families, and business owners achieve their financial goals. After graduating from MMI Preparatory School, Justin went on to earn his Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Trust & Wealth Management and a Minor in Financial Planning from Campbell University. He holds the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation and is a CFA Institute Investment Foundations™ Certificate Holder. Justin is also a member of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. Outside the office, Justin enjoys spending time with his wife, Morgan, who is also a 2009 graduate of MMI, his son, Jack, and their dog, Ollie.
