Wall of Fame Class of 2025
For over 50 years, Nick has given countless hours of assistance, guidance, and generosity to his alma mater. For 16 years, Nick was a dedicated member of MMI’s Board of Directors, with terms as Secretary from 2010-2012 and Treasurer from 2012-2016. During his tenure on the Board, Nick was pivotal in securing financial support for MMI through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.
Before Nick attended MMI, he would visit with his dad, James Dei Tos — a Wall of Fame member himself — to work on the masonry around the School. For nearly 50 years, James volunteered his services by performing numerous masonry, concrete, and handyman jobs at the School. Recognizing the value of an MMI education, he sent his son, Nick ’71, to MMI, and Nick in turn sent his three daughters, Nina ’01, Maria ’05, and Gabrielle ’08.
Once he became a student, Nick played an active role in the community, playing on the basketball team and serving as the manager of the baseball team. Years later, he is still an avid fan of MMI sports and cheers the School on.
After graduating from MMI in 1971, Nick received a Bachelor’s in Accounting at King’s College in 1975, followed by an MBA from Wilkes University in 1985. He climbed up through the ranks in a business career that led him to the post of East Coast Regional Controller for Impress/Ardgaugh Glass, followed by Corporate Controller for Citterio USA Corp, a company known for producing high-quality Italian charcuterie. In this role, Nick was responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations.
Throughout his success in the business world, Nick has made it his personal mission to give back to MMI. He has been a tireless fundraiser. By facilitating contributions that totaled over $1,000,000, Nick helped provide need-based scholarships, making MMI’s quality education accessible to a broader range of students.
From 2009 to 2024, Nick was a member of the Wall of Fame Selection Committee, where he played a vital role in honoring MMI alumni. His commitment ensured the recognition of individuals who embody MMI’s values and traditions, thereby strengthening alumni relations and school pride.
Nick’s connection to MMI has spanned three generations. His daughter, Nina Dei Tos Zanon ’01, is being added to the Wall of Fame alongside Nick, making the Dei Tos family the first with three generations represented on MMI’s Wall of Fame.
