Mr. Brian G. Lucas ’84

Wall of Fame Class of 2025

Brian provided 17 years of leadership on MMI’s Board of Directors, serving his alma mater with dedication, pride, and enthusiasm. His tenure on the Board included terms as Vice Chair from 2010-2012 and Chair from 2012-2014. He was also a member of the Search Committee and the Property Committee, of which he was Chair.

His involvement in the Head of School Search Committee was instrumental in selecting leadership aligned with MMI’s mission and values. As Chair of the Property Committee, Brian oversaw significant campus improvements and maintenance projects, including the construction of The Joseph A. Turri ’45 Library & Learning Center and the MMI Athletic Complex, ensuring that the School’s facilities met the evolving needs of students and faculty.

Brian served as the President of F&L Doors Inc., a family-owned business founded in 1970 by his father, George Lucas. Under Brian’s leadership, the company upheld a strong commitment to customer service and quality products, offering a wide selection of residential and commercial garage doors. Throughout his time at the company, F&L Doors consistently supported MMI. Through Pennsylvania’s EITC program, they contributed to need-based scholarships and have served as the Hole in One Sponsor of The Jake Kislan ’56 Memorial Golf Tournament since its inception. In 2022, Brian sold the business and now serves as a Sales Advisor and Consultant to the company.

Brian is a highly respected member of the Hazleton community. For twelve years, he was a member of the Hazleton Public Library System’s Board of Directors, serving as Board Chair from 2006-2008. Upon the expiration of his term, he was nominated and inducted as an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Board of Trustees.

Through organizing class reunions, strengthening the bonds among MMI graduates, and encouraging continued involvement with the School, Brian has actively fostered alumni engagement. Knowing the value of an MMI education, he also sent his daughter Sara ’14 to the School. Brian does what he does, not for the recognition, but because he desires to. He is a true embodiment of what it means to act in service to others, including MMI.
