MMI Preparatory School Head of School Mrs. Theresa Long is excited to announce that The Dr. Philip A. McHale ’58 and Ms. Linda Tishko Scholarship for College Credit will now cover 50% of the cost of Concurrent Enrollment college credits for students participating in MMI’s Pre-College Credit program with Lackawanna College.
MMI Preparatory School students fanned out across the Greater Hazleton region on Tuesday, October 21, for the annual Athena Ford ’01 Day of Service. This tradition, begun in the fall of 2017, unites all grade levels in hands-on volunteer work to honor the legacy of alumna Athena Ford, Class of 2001.

MMI Preparatory School Head of School Theresa Long proudly announced that 31 student scientists traveled to Penn State University to represent the School at the 2025 Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) State Competition. The event, held May 19–21, brought together students from across the Commonwealth to present original research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
