Wall of Fame Class of 2018

The 1993 golf team was undefeated in regular season play in the Schuylkill League with a 13-0 record. They won the Northern Division, but fell short in the Schuylkill League Golf Championship to Lourdes Regional.

The 1993 undefeated team members included: Philip P. Benyo ’95, Dr. Brian W. Coyle ’94, Ryan P. Flood ’94, Mark F. Katchur ’95, Dr. Craig S. Kenesky ’96, Jim Rakshys, Joseph R. Rebarchak ’95, John J. Slyconish II ’95, Brian Street, and Michael A. Washinsky ’97. The team was coached by retired faculty member Anthony J. Gennaro.

The Preppers began the season with a win over Wyoming Seminary and then opened league play with a 10-stroke triumph over Tamaqua. The team had relatively easy victories for much of the remainder of the season.

Ryan Flood won medalist honors four times during the season while Brian Coyle and Mark Katchur each took honors three times. In the title match against Lourdes, Flood took medalist honors with an 82.

No individual team MVP was selected at the conclusion of the season because it was determined that all the players were equal contributors to the team’s success.
