Marcianna (Marci) Hosier was recently appointed to the position of Director of Admissions and Marketing at MMI Preparatory School. Hosier is a native of Northeastern Pennsylvania and has spent time working in media, higher education, and non-profit institutions.
After living in Arizona, Oregon, and New York, Hosier returned to the area in 2009. Prior to joining MMI, she was responsible for marketing and served on the enrollment management team for a career-focused, liberal arts college with campus locations in upstate New York, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Virginia.
“Marci brings years of admissions and marketing experience to MMI and will play an important role in guiding our message for the future. She also possesses the personality needed to work with our families during the admissions process,” said Head of School Thomas G. Hood.
Over her career, Hosier has served on many non-profit boards and worked with numerous government, education, and civic organizations. Her experience is extensive in the admissions process, marketing at the strategic and execution level, public relations, corporate communication, and brand development. She is a member of the American Marketing Association.
Hosier holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Mass Communication from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and attended the University of Phoenix at the main campus in Phoenix, AZ, where she earned her Master of Arts in Organizational Management. She currently resides in West Pittston with her husband and two children.
