MMI inducts 19 students into National Junior Classical League for Latin

MMI Preparatory School inducted 19 students into the National Junior Classical League for Latin for the 2021-2022 school year.

Students inducted are: Frederick Blaine (White Haven), Jozef Dovicak (White Haven), Ava Genetti (Sugarloaf), Nora Herseim (Hazle Township), Gabriel Horvath (Conyngham), Ruth Huey (Drums), Alena Lombardo (Ebervale), Joseph Mayernik (Freeland), Cassidy McDermott (White Haven), Serena Novotney (Freeland), Yeleiny Paniagua (Hazleton), Sharan Parikh (Mountain Top), Rishi Patel (Drums), Erica Schwear (Sugarloaf), Caleb Skuba (Drums), Arushi Solgama (Mountain Top), Jayden Unger (Conyngham), David Yamulla (Sugarloaf), and Madelyn Young (Freeland).

The National Junior Classical League is an organization for middle and high school students in classical courses. NJCL proudly holds the honor of being one of the largest academic youth organizations in the world. There are over 35,000 members in approximately 1,000 chapters, located in almost every state and in several foreign countries. Established in 1936, the organization seeks to promote the study of Latin and Greek, to benefit students and teachers alike, and to impart an understanding of the debt of our own culture to that of classical antiquity.
