Students in MMI’s Sunshine Club recognized national Unity Day on October 21 by creating a pledge poster for students, faculty, and staff to sign indicating their stand against bullying.

Unity Day is the signature event of National Bullying Prevention month, which is sponsored by PACER Center’s National Bullying Prevention Center.

The students in the Sunshine Club believe in maintaining a safe and supportive school environment. Many students, faculty, and staff members wore orange, Unity Day’s official color, to show that they are united in kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and send a message of support, hope, and unity.

National Bullying Prevention Month is a time when communities unite nationwide to raise awareness of bullying prevention through events, activities, outreach, and education. The month-long effort encourages everyone to take an active role in the bullying-prevention movement.
