MMI Preparatory School will hold fall Visitation Night on Monday, November 16, starting at 6:00 P.M. where families can learn more about an MMI education and the advantages the school offers for their children.

Families will learn about the small class sizes and individual attention at MMI. They will also get details about the school’s curriculum, which includes Advanced Placement classes, financial aid, athletics and extracurricular activities. Light refreshments will be offered. Families will also have the opportunity to tour the 25-acre campus.

The event will begin with a presentation by the school’s administration including Head of School Thomas G. Hood. “Visitation Night is an excellent opportunity for students and parents to come to MMI and get a close look at our campus,” Hood said. “We encourage anyone who is thinking about an MMI education to attend Visitation Night, take a tour, and learn more.”

Families of children entering sixth grade next year are encouraged to explore the value of an MMI Middle School education since several of the upper grade levels had wait lists last year. “Starting in our middle school is important, not only because it ensures your child’s seat for our upper school, but also because our middle school better prepares students for the college preparatory curriculum,” Hood said.

One important aspect of MMI is the value and affordability of an independent school education. “This year, 50 percent of MMI students received need-based financial aid. Students can also earn academic scholarships to help with tuition costs based upon their performance on the entrance exam which prospective students can take on Saturday, January 30, 2016,” said MMI Director of Admissions and Marketing Marci Hosier.

Those planning to attend Visitation Night are asked to register and should arrive before 6:00 P.M. the night of the event. To register, or for more information, contact Hosier at 570-636-1108 or visit www.mmiprep.org.
