Wall of Fame Class of 2023

Edward embodies what it means to live a life in
service, and we at MMI are truly grateful that Ed
chose to devote most of his time to bettering
our school and inspiring the next generation of
Preppers.

For over 20 years, Ed volunteered to serve as a
member of MMI’s Board of Directors (1999-2008, 2010-2022). He actively
served as the Board’s Secretary from 2012 to 2016 as well as participated
in numerous committees throughout his tenure. He was instrumental in
helping to form the Wall of Fame, which will now bear his name.

Ed is also an alumnus of MMI, having graduated with an impressive
academic transcript as part of the Prepper’s Class of 1962. Because of the
stories Edward shared with his two sons Ed and Glenn, MMI is considered
the most important institution in the Kushma family history.

Ed’s many years of service on the MMI Board of Directors quantifies his
dedication to MMI, but, more importantly, it’s the intangible selfless
devotion and love he has for the school and the MMI community. He serves
as a role model for current and future Preppers who wish to give back for
the betterment of MMI.

Just as important as his service record, Ed truly loves MMI and the MMI
community. MMI helped him excel academically and mature as a young
man. His formative years at MMI afforded him the opportunity to attend
the University of Pennsylvania on an academic scholarship. He graduated
UPENN with honors — a testament to his MMI background.

Without MMI, he may never have had the chance, nor the challenge, to
excel academically and attend college. Without MMI, he would not be the
man he is today. For this reason, he is deeply indebted to MMI. He
dedicates his time and energy for every young person who looks to MMI to
help them grow and fulfill their maximum potential because that’s what
MMI did for him.
