Mrs. Theresa Long, Head of School at MMI Preparatory School, is pleased to announce the promotion of Ms. Lani Drobnock to the position of Director of Admissions & Parent Engagement, effective July 1, 2026.
Ms. Drobnock has been a valued member of the MMI community since joining the School in 2016 as the Coordinator of Parent Programs. Throughout her tenure, she has played an instrumental role in strengthening relationships between the School and its families, leading the MMI Parents Association, recruiting and engaging volunteers, supporting School events, and developing meaningful parent education opportunities.
In her most recent role as Business & Operations Coordinator, Ms. Drobnock provided additional support across multiple offices, including the Main Office, Business Office, Advancement Office, and Admissions and Enrollment Office. She also serves as Advisor to MMI’s Interact Club, the School’s student service organization.
As Director of Admissions & Parent Engagement, Ms. Drobnock will oversee the admissions process while continuing to foster strong partnerships with current and prospective families. Her extensive background in marketing, communications, community relations, and customer service positions her well to lead MMI’s enrollment, financial assistance, and parent engagement initiatives.

We are excited to see her continue to strengthen our admissions efforts while enhancing the sense of connection that makes our School community so special.”
Ms. Drobnock earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from King’s College and was inducted into both the Aquinas Honor Society and Mu Kappa Tau, the National Honor Society in Marketing. Prior to joining MMI, she served as Community Relations Director for the Hazleton Area School District, Executive Director of the Hazleton Area Education Foundation, Director of Career Services at McCann School of Business & Technology, and Marketing Director for the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce.
Throughout her career, Ms. Drobnock has received numerous honors, including the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce Volunteer of the Year Award, the YWCA PEARL Award, the American Cancer Society Quality of Life-Service Award, and the Terry Zahn Award for Excellence in Marketing, Communication and Publicity. She is also a graduate of Leadership Hazleton.
Ms. Drobnock remains active in the community as Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Hazleton Rotary Club and as a member of the Lehigh Valley Health Network Board of Associates. She previously served on the CAN DO Board of Directors and the United Way of Greater Hazleton Allocation Panel.
A native of the Hazleton area, Ms. Drobnock resides in West Hazleton with her twin children, Anna and Ben, members of MMI’s Class of 2028. Her son, John, graduated from MMI in 2024 and currently attends Widener University.
