Wall of Fame Class of 2010

Mrs. Thelma Gallagher served MMI as a member of the staff for 36 years. Mrs. Gallagher served as secretary to President Lambert Broad, the school’s only secretary, from 1957 to 1972. After taking time away to start her family, Mrs. Gallagher returned to the administrative office of MMI in 1978 until her retirement in 1999. She is remembered for her kindness and invaluable assistance to the school, and many female alumni from the 1970’s recall her thoughtfulness and compassion during the school’s transition to a co-educational institution. The 1969 Minamek accounts to her kindheartedness: “her warm and tender personality has done so much to stimulate a cheerful atmosphere in the school… a great asset to MMI”.
